ASUS has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo updates for Zenfone 3 devices. All unlocked zenfone 3 models will be now eligible to get this Oreo updates. If you haven’t updated your ASUS device to the latest version, make sure you check Setting > System updates to see if there is new updated firmware is available. ASUS has carried this update for ZE552KL model, that will upgrade ZenFone 3 to Oreo.
You should have at least 1.5 GB FREE storage before updating your device for a software update. Also, make sure your smartphone’s battery level is 50% or above that. You should also note that you can not downgrade your zenfone 3 from Oreo update once installed on your device. Also, if you have rooted your Zenfone 3, you might not able to see Oreo update or manual FOTA updates.
How to Upgrade Zenfone 3 to Oreo:
To upgrade your ASUS zenfone 3 smartphone Oreo update, follow the steps listed below.
- Go to Setting
- Select About from the bottom
- Select System Update Option
- Tap on Check Update button
If an update is available for your device, you will see download system update in the notification with 1066.45 MB download. You should make sure you are downloading this update on your device over WiFi or you have an unlimited data plan on your device to save your bills.
If you don’t see an update for your Zenfone 3 device, you should note that it might take few days to hit update for all zenfone 3 devices.
