If you have been following the tech world lately then you should be well aware that the OnePlus 7 Pro is being immensely hyped. The upcoming flagship device is going to launch on the 14th of May. Mark your calendars people, tomorrow is the day! It has just been reported that popular Chinese online retailer JD.com has opened reservations for the OnePlus 7 Pro. Interested people are being welcomed to fill up an online form to register themselves. Registered people will be notified when the device is finally made available for purchase on 14th of May.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is being revered as the next rival to the world’s top flagships including Samsung’s Galaxy S-series smartphones. OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau claims that the OnePlus series of smartphones will lead the mobile phone industry to a new era of seamless experiences. The device’s features support this statement greatly. The upcoming OP 7 Pro is going to feature some of the industry’s most cutting-edge technologies and components.

The upcoming flagship series will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest high-end flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855. The OnePlus 7 Pro will also come with UFS 3.0 flash memory which is a stunningly fast storage option, to say the least. The display of the OnePlus 7 Pro will be a 6.7” QHD+ panel with a stunning refresh rate of 90 Hz. The display will support HDR10+. Many analysts in the industry are expecting the aspect resolution of the OP 7 Pro to be 3120 x 1440 pixels.

According to Lau, OnePlus has invested almost Chinese Yuan 100 million (equivalent to $14.5 million according to the exchange rates at press time) in R&D for the display of the flagship device alone. Many analysts say that the display featured in the OnePlus 7 Pro costs 2 to 3 times more than the displays used in other competing flagships of this year. Speaking about the display of the smartphone, Pete Lau remarked that you can’t look away once you have used the OP 7 Pro for a while.

It has been confirmed that the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro will be revealed officially during the OnePlus event about to be held tomorrow. The OnePlus 7 is expected to be very much like the 6T and will be offered as the base version. The main difference between the OnePlus 6T and the OP 7 will be the upgraded SoC and an improved camera processing.

OnePlus hasn’t yet revealed or hinted towards the pricing of the upcoming flagship series. We are expecting the OP 7 to get a price tag of $550 while the OP 7 Pro might cost $700 or above. Of course, these figures are pure assumptions as OnePlus has been quite successful in keeping the target price of its upcoming flagships a secret. However, you won’t have to wait much longer to find out the pricing as it will also be revealed during the launch event tomorrow.
