The OnePlus 6T is, without doubt, an exceptional top-tier smartphone which snatched a large portion of the Asian market from companies like Samsung and LG. This was possible due to its amazing configuration and astonishingly low price compared to the price of flagship smartphones of other companies which more or less had the same configuration. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, however, was a higher-priced premium version of the company’s flagship smartphone which launched in India in December of 2018.
The smartphone instantly saw a great response and the limited edition device went out of stock within a few months. Now, thanks to the high demand on Amazon.in, OnePlus 6T is going to relaunch the premium smartphone in India tomorrow (6 April 2019). The smartphone will again be available in limited stock and will be priced at INR 50,999. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition features 10 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
Premium Smartphone With Premium Features
The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition comes with a Warp Charge 30 fast charging system which produces a charging rate of 30 watts. OnePlus’ proprietary charging technology is capable of charging the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition from 0 to 50 percent in just 20 minutes. A half-charged battery – according to reviews and company’s claims – is enough to power the smartphone for a day with average usage.
OnePlus uses customized circuit design in both the smartphone and the charger to get the 30-watt charging rate across. A fine-tuned power management software monitors all this stuff and makes sure that the smartphone doesn’t heat up and the components stay safe.
As for the design, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition more or less features the same design as the standard device. The key difference is the papaya orange finish spanning across the edge of the smartphone’s back which itself is black. The whole combination makes the smartphone look sleek and elegant, just like a McLaren car does. The pattern underneath the glass back itself is based on McLaren’s notorious carbon fiber.
Another key design element that is featured in the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition and not the standard version is the McLaren logo at the bottom of the smartphone’s back side. The logo is illuminated and the illumination itself is animated to make the smartphone look like a piece of a cutting edge technology. The McLaren logo on the back of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition continuously lights up with ambient light and goes dark instantly. The cycle is being repeated whenever the smartphone is in use.
This news doesn’t come as a surprise especially because the premium flagship smartphone was extremely popular in India. After the smartphone went out of stock, many people complained that they would love to buy the smartphone if it wasn’t available in such a limited stock. It sounds fair that OnePlus sees an opportunity in restocking the device in the Indian market as they know that it will be a lucrative move for the company.
