Huawei has recently unveiled its latest P30 and P30 Pro flagship smartphones and we absolutely love it. One interesting thing about the smartphones is that there are a number of significant differences between the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro.
In our opinion, the most unsettling distance is that the Huawei P30 Pro features wireless charging out of the box while the P30 comes without it. To make sure that the owners of their latest flagship’s base version don’t miss out on the cool feature, Huawei decided to launch a wireless charging case for P30.
The company announced last month that it will, in fact, be launching a wireless charging case for the P30 soon.
Pricing details were not mentioned in that announcement and we have been waiting since to get an idea of how much we will have to spend extra to buy the case. Well, Huawei’s Vice President of the mobile phone business posted on Weibo today, saying that the case will launch in China too.
The wireless charging case has now been made available to purchase on Vmall.com and it comes with a price tag of $45. The case is available in two robust color themes, the Electric Blue and Dynamic Orange. You can buy the case right now and have it shipped right away to your home.
The case comes with a USB Type-C connector at the bottom which conveniently plugs into the charging port of your phone. The case also has an input port on it which you can use to charge your phone through a wire if you aren’t looking to wirelessly charge it. It is nice attention to detail from Huawei’s side which prevents the hassle of constantly connecting and disconnecting the case’s USB Type-C connector from the charging port of the Huawei P30.
The wireless charging case for the Huawei P30 Pro is capable of providing a charging rate of 10 watts while you can charge the flagship smartphone with a wire at a charging rate of 22.5 watts. This is significantly slower than the charging rates supported by the Huawei P30 Pro flagship smartphone. The top-tier variant is capable of providing a charging rate of 15 watts with wireless charging and 40 watts with wired.
The Huawei P30 Pro smartphone itself is a top-class device which won’t require you to buy any extra accessories to get fully-functioning wireless charging features. The Huawei P30 Pro comes with up to 8 GB of RAM which supports an octa-core processor. The triple-sensor camera setup at the back of the smartphone packs a formidable 40MP primary sensor with a 20MP and 8MP sensor to support the main image and add detailing to it.
The 15-watt wireless charging and 40-watt wired charging is highly appreciated for the Huawei P30 Pro as it backs a 4,200 mAh Li-ion battery. A battery of that size would take a serious amount of time to charge if it was being charged by a charging rate lower than that.
