The Google’s highly rated UPI based payment solution “Tez” has been renamed to Google Pay for India. As we all know that Google’s Tez app is quite simple and easy and enables us to send and receive money directly from the bank account.

In India, after the demonetization, there are so many UPI based payment apps has been working, and In which, the Tez app is one of the most popular and easy-to-use app that enables users to send and receive money.
Google has renamed Tez to Google Pay in India
But recently, the Google has consolidated their two payment services Google Pay and Tez into the one payment solution, and For India, the Google Pay will continue to use the UPI based service instead of the NFC based payment feature used in other countries.
With the backed by UPI based service, the Google Pay will continue to offer the payment solution (Tez/Google Pay) to India. There is no any change to Google’s Tez app for India. Just the Google has renamed their Tez app to Google Pay and the service that used for money transfer will be the same.
And if you have not updated your Tez app from Google Play Store then simply update your Tez app from Google Play store and you can see the changed name of Google Tez app on your Android device.
Along with this change, Google has also announced about that Google Pay will also enable the users to request a pre-approved and an instant bank loan directly from within the Google Pay (India) app.
With the updated Google Pay app for India, users will also be able to request for a loan from different Indian banks such as Federal Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, etc. You can also do mobile recharge, Book movie tickets, pay your electricity bills and many more with Google Pay. Additionally, the users will also be able to choose the amount of loan, and the time period to return the amount back to the bank.
According to reports, the bank loan feature will be rolled out to the next few weeks. And Google is also working on an in the integration of their Google Pay in India with the multiple service providers such as Goibibo, FreshMenu, Jet Airways, Reliance, Croma, BookMyShow, Zerodha, and Nykaa.
