Asus Zenfone Max smartphone with model number ZC550KL is now available in India. This as Max smartphone is launched at a price tag of just 9,999 Indian Rupees in India. This is the first power bank smartphone that has 5000 mAh Li-Po built-in battery, and an interesting thing about this smartphone is that you can also charge another smartphone using OTG cable and micro USB cable. Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset powers this smartphone.
Unboxing Zenfone Max Smartphone
When unboxing zenfone Max smartphone, inside the box, you will find headset packed in plastic bag, warranty card, user guide, standard ASUS OTG cable, travel charger along with data cable. However, we have not found earphone inside the box.
ASUS Zenfone Max Design
This zenfone does not have volume rocker placed on rear similar to other launched zenfone laser This smartphone has volume rocker buttons on the right side, and the power button is just below the volume buttons. This zenfone smartphone body seems to be made up of plastic with smooth finishing. It has fine gripping with leather-like textures when you hold this smartphone.
It has ASUS logo placed below the camera on the back side and zenfone branding at the bottom of the backside. Speakers are average in condition; you will find loudspeaker placement below the zenfone branding at the back side bottom.Total weight of this device is around 200 gram that is quite light weight as compared to other zenfones, and also this device seems slimmer than recently launched Asus Zenfone Zoom.
On the top, there is audio jack; micro USB port is there at the bottom along with the mic. The secondary mic is also available above the camera on back size for noise cancellation. This mic can be useful while recording videos from this smartphone.
This zenfone comes dual SIM card and dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the memory of this device. It’s 4G smartphone that works on both sims. LED notification and accelerometer, light, proximity, magnetic and hall are other great feature of this smartphone.
Display of Zenfone Max
ASUS Max smartphone comes with 1280×720 pixel resolution that is having 5.5 inch IPS display. The screen of this smartphone is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The display has excellent color reproduction; viewing angles are also similar to a high-quality premium smartphone, and touch response is also good.
Storage & Memory
This smartphone has 16GB built in storage; user available memory is 11GB. It has 2GB RAM that is average; you can not use this smartphone for gaming purpose or playing high-end games. Apps are installed in internal storage. However, you can move apps to sd card. You can also use the clean master to move apps to SD card. This device supports OTG to transfer data from external storage to your smartphone. Zenfone Max runs on latest android lollipop 5.0.2 version on ZenUI 2.0.
The performance of this device is superb in regular usage, but you can not play high-end games on this smartphone. We have tried playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on this smartphone, but it seems phone is lagging. But some games like candy crush worked perfectly well on this smartphone.
Camera
The camera of this smartphone is 13 MP rear camera, and the front camera is 5MP. Laser AF of this phone is fast but not accurate as expected; maybe it can be fixed with software updates. Camera quality is also average, but okay for regular usage. The rear camera can shoot FHD videos on this smartphone.
Battery
This smartphone’s main feature is powerful battery performance; it is loaded with 5000 mAh non-removable battery. Back cover is removable, but not a battery. Battery works well for minimum 8-10 hours with heavy and moderate usage; we have tested it with normal usage and battery of this device was run around four days without recharging it again.

This zenfone Max is a sturdy headset with excellent battery backup. If you are a traveller and worrying about battery low issue with another smartphone, this would be perfect smartphone for you, and you don’t have to worry about recharging it every day.
