The phone comes in 4 amazing colours that are:
- Prism Crush Black
- Prism Crush violet
- Prism crush white
- Prism Crush green.
All the colours look beautiful in your hands and give you an amazing experience of using it. The phone price in India is: 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage is of Rs 22,999 and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage is of 24,999.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Review Design And Build Quality
The Samsung A50s has almost the same dimensions as Samsung A50, but off course, there are some changes in the upgraded version. Well, Samsung A50s is 3 gram heavier than A50, and it replaces the 25 MP primary shooter camera wit 48 MP camera sensors. I agree that galaxy A50 design really impressed us, and we can appreciate it for that.
But what about the design of Galaxy A50s?
Well, the design of the Galaxy A50s also impressed the customers, especially me, a lot. The material used for the back panel of Galaxy A50s is still plastic, but Samsung distinguishes its “S” variant by providing a classy and shiny look at its back.
Samsung also adds an AMOLED screen in its “S” series. Just as Galaxy note 10, Samsung offers you your personal assistant in the form of Bixby vision. You can remap it as usual by open the Settings > Advanced > Side Key. Or you can double-tap on the screen and launch any preferred app of your choice.
The Galaxy A50s has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a USB- C port at the bottom with 15 W adaptive fast charging features. This time Samsung also offers a protective case in the box. Its in-display fingerprint sensor did not respond very consistently at first, but it works well after we reconfigure it.
I agree it is not the fastest mode of the fingerprint sensor, but after few weeks of usage, we found that it perfectly works. Besides the in-display fingerprint sensor, Samsung also offers you face recognition, and it works really well too.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Review Display
Another powerful feature of Galaxy A50s, which I like the most, is a good quality full HD+ AMOLED display. In the display settings, you find two options of Samsung colour presets, i.e. vivid and natural. Both original works better for you. Samsung does not protect your screen with Gorilla Glass, but the screen does have an oleophobic coating that protects your screen from smudges and scratches.
Moreover, the contrast is high and AMOLED blacks with features like night mode and Always-on Display. Also, it offers you notch display for the front camera and chin at the bottom, which is quite unusual for competing with other phones in the market. We also enjoy super steady mode and streaming videos in our galaxy A50s and do not face any trouble when using in direct sunlight conditions or outdoors.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Review Performance And Software
As we have already mentioned above, the Galaxy A50s are powered by Exynos 9611 Octa-core processor. The clock frequency and architecture of CPU is the same as we have seen on Galaxy A50. There is little improvement in its graphics (the mail G72 GPU cores are perhaps higher). Samsung offers double the storage that is 128 GB for both 4 GB and 6 GB RAM, and around 112 GB is free for users to use.
Samsung also adds a game booster in its upgraded version to customize the performance of PUBG. PUBG ran smoothly in our device when we switched to balanced and high settings. The Galaxy A50s is not an ideal solution for hardcore gamers but works fine for moderate and average users.
The software on Galaxy A50s gets several refinements as Samsung isn’t holding back on the same UI but full set, including Samsung Pay and Edge launcher. There are some pre-installed apps on the phone, but you have the option to uninstall them. Yes, Galaxy A50s supports HD streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime (30 days free trial). Call quality was excellent, and all connectivity options work perfectly well.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Review Camera Performance
Best phone for the selfie lovers or who want to capture every moment of their enjoyment. The camera is the most significant upgrader of Galaxy A50s. Samsung offers a triple rear camera of 48 MP, and a front-facing camera of 32 MP and Samsung is using Sony IMX528 sensor, the same used on Redmi K20. Moreover, the primary camera is paired with an ultra-wide and depth camera with 123 degrees FoV. Also, the depth camera is for the purpose of capturing portrait shots.
The camera app comes with flagship features like best shot suggestions, scene optimizer, slow- Mo mode, super slow- Mo mode and document scanner. Also, it offers terrific picture editing options like add filters, crop image, rotate, whiten contrast and others so that you can edit your image according to your taste.
When exposed to the direct sunlight, Galaxy A50s captures great quality shots with proper textures and a decent amount of details. The photos look excellent on the phone when you view it from the gallery on the large screen. In the low light, too, the camera quality depletes appreciably.
Although, the wide-angle camera captures border perspective. But the portrait mode is a little bit disappointing as it works fine only in proper lighting but fails to works well in inconsistent indoors. Now come to its selfie camera, the selfie camera works excellent in outdoors as well as in lit scenes.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Review Battery And Audio
The Galaxy A50s is packed 4000 mAh battery, and that’s a reasonably well capacity to meet the modern needs and standards of the users. The battery is compatible with fast charging technology, which means it charges fully in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Also, Samsung bundles a 15W fast charger in the box along with USB type C cable.
The sound clarity of the phone is impressive, and the loudspeaker on the phone is sufficiently loud, with excellent output quality. It also supported Dolby atoms, but only when you connect your device with headphones or earphones. Audio via headphones is quite amazing. You can enjoy music with high bass.
Pros And Cons
The Samsung Galaxy A50s is the premium phone for all Galaxy and Android lovers, which adds interactive refinements to very popular Galaxy A50. The phone is the perfect choice for those who do not wish to spend a significant amount on the phone but get all the features under one device at a budget price. Also, we saw some significant improvements in its software too.
If we talk about its performance, then, in my opinion, it gives a raw production and ready to compete in the market with other brands. The camera performance of the phone is really a deal-breaker and capture perfect shots in both day and night light conditions.
Pros
- Awesome looks
- Light and slim
- Awesome battery mileage
- One UI software with the full package
- Excellent camera quality in dayligh
Cons
- Not for hardcore gamers
- Lowlight camera performance
