Micromax Canvas HD A116 arrived as the successor of the very popular Canvas 2 budget phablet and was available for sale with online retailers from the midnight of 14th Feb this year. Creating a lot of buzzes, more than 1200 units of this 5-inch phablet, much hyped for its HD display, were ordered within 45 minutes of it being available for sale. Adding more to the surprises, Micromax soon announced to sell more than 9000 thousand units of the device within 24 hours of its launch. Later on, it was also revealed that the manufacturer was selling 25 devices per minute. At the same time, it is very rare to see a manufacturer increase the pricing of a device following its launch but, recently Micromax has raised the pricing for the Canvas HD from Rs. 13,999 to Rs. 14,999 but, still it is being offered at such a price that does not require to thought even once before paying for a Quad-Core Processor. Actually, the tech freaks are still craving for the device, the same way they were at the time of its launch.
Micromax has offered a worthy upgrade to the A110 Canvas 2 with a price tag that may be considered as a value for money proposition. The 5-inch HD Display and Quad-Core Processor flavored with Jelly Bean is something that is in great demand these days. In today’s scenario, for a configuration alike the A116 Canvas HD, various foreign manufacturers are demanding a big bundle of money that is surely going to burn a hole in the buyer’s pocket.
