Recently Android Lolipop 5 version has launched, and few device has got android lollipop version update on their smartphones. Whenever new updates are coming for any device, you will be able to see an update notification on the notification bar. All Android smartphones come with default capability to get updated over WiFi or using mobile networks. You can update it using your smartphone directly without any Android PC suits or connecting your device to your Computer.
You can generally get a notification on notification bar regarding your device update information.If you have disabled synchronisation, you may not get notification update about version update. However, you can also check for an Android update manually from your device using below procedure.
How to Manually Update Android
- Go to setting option from device menu button.
- Scroll down to bottom, you will see about phone menu there.
- From About phone option, you will see the version number, device information, serial numbers, etc.
- From there, you will see software update check option, and below that, there will be check box saying that check updates automatically.
If you select check updates automatically, your device will regularly check for new updates if any. If your device does not have update checking option, you may weekly or monthly check that using procedure provided above.
